Academy for Excellence in Teaching. University of Illinois (Chicago) - College of Medicine. The Academy for Excellence in Teaching aims to provide a platform for the continuous recognition of excellence in teaching; stimulate interest and visibility in teaching; and provide a college-wide network for mutual support, mentoring of junior faculty and informal consultation. The Academy also aims to help develop a pool of knowledge, skills, and innovation in teaching/learning and provide collaboration and assistance for research projects.

Debas Academy of Medical Educators is dedicated to creating an environment that enhances the status of teachers of medical students at UCSF, promotes and rewards teaching excellence, and fosters curricular innovation.

Center for Education Research and Evaluation. Columbia University - Health Sciences Division. The Center for Education Research and Evaluation promotes excellence, innovation and scholarship in teaching and learning at Columbia University Health Sciences. We provide expertise in all aspects of education including curriculum design, teaching methods, student assessment, evaluation, faculty development and education research. We strive to ensure that education is informed by theory and research on how people learn.

The Center supports and consults with School of Medicine faculty in Teaching; Curriculum Development; Evaluation of Medical Student Performance; Program Evaluation; Medical Education Grants and Research; and Evidence Based Medicine.

Center for Medical Education Research. University of Washington - Department of Medical Education and Biomedical Informatics. The Center for Medical Education Research conducts policy oriented research on medical education (with a focus on primary care education, career selection, and minority enrichment programs), trains medical education researchers, and promotes application of research findings into practical improvements in medical education.

Center for Research in Medical Education. University of Miami School of Medicine. The Center for Research in Medical Education develops curricula and materials for education in medicine, nursing and the health-related professions. It also serves as a laboratory for research and development in tbe application of advanced technology to medical education and as an international resource for these materials and programs.

Center for Research in Medical Education and Health Care. Thomas Jefferson University - Jefferson Medical College. The Center for Research in Medical Education and Health Care combines service to the Jefferson community with a broad spectrum of research studies and other externally-funded projects. Faculty and staff have qualifications and professional experience in psychometrics, medical education assessment, evaluation of quality of health care, development and application of severity of illness methods, risk adjustment, and health care financing.

Educational Research & Development . The University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio. The Educational Research & Development (ERD) Center provides consultation services to help faculty enhance classroom, laboratory and clinic teaching and assistance in curriculum development, program evaluation and evaluation of student performance. ERD also assists faculty in the design and development of technology-based courses and provides training services to help faculty design research protocols to explore educational issues and write grant applications.

Faculty Education Initiatives. Baylor College of Medicine. Provides access to resources to support and recognize excellence in teaching at Baylor College of Medicine, including the Academy of Distinguished Educators, Educational Scholars Fellowship Program and Educator Recognition Awards; the Committee For Educator Development; and selected skill building opportunities including educator peer mentoring & review, and an M.Ed. in Teaching.

Institute for Excellence in Osteopathic Medical Education. American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. The Institute for Excellence in Osteopathic Medical Education is designed to be a living, virtual resource to support efforts to make osteopathic medical education excellent. Includes access to the AACOM Medical Education List Serve, a directory of innovations and a compendium of medical education websites.

Office of Consulation and Research in Medical Education. The University of Iowa - College of Medicine. The Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education (OCRME) works with basic science and clinical faculty to improve the quality of education in the College of Medicine and strives to expand knowledge regarding health sciences education. OCRME accomplishes these goals through three activities: educational consultation, educational research, and faculty development.
