Finding Information About Psychological Tests. American Psychological Association. Provides tips on how to locate commercially available (published) psychological tests within a given subject area, how to contact test publishers, and where to find computerized testing materials and related information. Also provides information on how to find unpublished tests in your area of interest and highlights your responsibilities as a user of unpublished psychological tests.

Guide to Tests and Measurements. University of Pennsylvania - Van Pelt Library. A comprehensive explanation of how and where to find good tests and measurement tools in health, education and the social sciences. Covers the following topics: Locating Tests, Identifying Test Names and Locating Test Reviews, Finding Books on Tests and Measurements, Finding Journal Articles about Tests, and Using Other Sources (Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, and Handbooks). Some recommended sources specifiic to that facility.

Guide to Tests and Measurements. University of Michigan - Taubman Medical Library. Provides a comprehensive listing of resources for finding and evaluating educational, psychological and health status tests and measures. Includes Internet resources, reference books and other university gateway pages.

Locating Tests and Testing Information. Western Washington University. A comprehensive gateway page of resources on tests and measures. Part I reviews the major resources used for locating tests and measurements information, including reference books, specialized testing resources, searching online catalogs indexes and databases, and using assessment journals. Part II explains how to locate actual tests, and Part III covers Internet resources. Some materials only available locally.

Questions To Ask When Evaluating Tests (ERIC Digest). ERIC Clearinghouse on Assessment and Evaluation. Identifies the key standards applicable to most test evaluation situations, i.e., test coverage/use, samples used for validation/norming, reliability and validity, test/item bias, and test administration and reporting. Sample questions are presented to help in your evaluation and selection of standardized tests.

Test Reviews Online. Buros Institute. Provides alphabetical, keyword, and category searches of the 4000+ tests in the Buros Mental Measurements Yearbook collection. Critical reviews of selected tests in the database are available for a small fee.

TestLink Test Collection Database. Educational Testing Service. Provides researchers, graduate students, and teachers with a searchable library of over 20,000 standardized tests and research instruments from a variety of publishers and individual test authors.
